College football's biggest problem is there's no commissioner who is looking out
for the organization as a whole. Everyone is just doing what benefits them. Schools jumping to different conferences, TV executives manufacturing deals and moving pieces around, NIL collectives offering deals that don't materialize, agents working in bad faith or screwing players, and players quitting mid season on decent teams.

Almost all of this can be solved with a strong governing body with a great commissioner.

That will never happen because all the moving pieces just want to do what benefits them most.
