I think it needs to be a 2yr contact. You agree to an amount, a school and 2yrs
It allows players to get guaranteed money, schools to get players to stay a min 2yrs. And you can sign another contract/whatever after the first 2yrs.
The player can't transfer during that time. They have to play, no sitting out to retain eligibility, etc
