I am remembering account after account about how amazing Nebraska fans were to us with many on here talking about how we could learn a thing or two from them about how to host other teams and their fans. Maybe it is coincidental, but it seemed like BYU didn't really take it to heart to proactively treat opposing teams/fans well AFTER the experience in Nebraska. I obviously could be wrong. AND I don't care who started it. I'm really glad it is picking up momentum and love that we are developing a reputation for it.
I also think we really like to hear people compliment our sportsmanship and hospitality, as evidenced by all the reports that are published and celebrated on here, but as a result, it seems to motivate all involved to be even better hosts. So, regardless of who is "leading the way", I'm glad that we're at least trying. Of course, the real test will be how we treat the Philistines in the north, who very well may happily receive the free ice cream, then turn and throw it at BYU fans. Will "we" (I'm not in UT) still be welcoming hosts to them? Just a thought.
