unfair that some CBers were citing his 0-4 record as proof Jake didn't have what it takes, due to the unprecedented SOS. There was no question Jake played poorly against SMU, but I am cautiously encouraged by his growth these last few games. Even the sacks he took against KSU I didn't hate, while other CBers were howling that it was unacceptable, because he didn't put the ball risk. And if you read my second sentence of the previous post, I said Jake's arm strength was such that maybe the safety's angle wouldn't have mattered regardless.
