about this: Last year our offense was dead last in the B12 in in pretty much every offensive statistic. Rushing, passing, overall, points, and pretty much every offensive measure you can dig up, we were dead last in the B12.
We started to see what Jay Hill could do with our defense last year, but no matter how much the D improved, this team wasn't going to go anywhere unless the offense started to show some signs of life. There were some big question marks through the first couple of games, but the offense is starting to show that it can be an above-average unit in the B12.
I'll take that this year. When you combine it with a defense that can lock down when it has to, it's a huge jump over preseason expectations. We still have some issues on the D side of the ball that won't improve a ton over the course of the year because the personnel we have is the personnel we have. For example, interior D-line is going to be a point of weakness regardless of coaching.
