So their incentives for returning to the MWC are that they could potentially get a similar payout as they'd get in the PAC without having to pay an exit fee but they'd play in a much worse conference? That doesn't seem very appealing.

If the PAC snags UNLV, they could basically grab anyone else and still be 100x better than the MWC.
