Bill Connelly only has BYU up to #42 in his SP+ ranking.
Kansas State is #22, SMU is #28 and we're notably behind 1-3 Kansas #39. Looking over his poll from top to bottom, I'm guessing that ranking isn't a great barometer of whatever its measuring until much later in the season.
