We've taken our three year old to late night games. Yes we get home really late, but it's 100 percent worth it.
He always falls asleep in the car on the drive home and the next day he talks about how awesome the game was.

I'm sure there will be earlier games. The Southern Illinois game started at 6:00 pm. Missed your chance there already.
