For the first 28 minutes BYU's offense had nothing and the defense was bending a lot but had not broken. There is no way to tell what would have happened the rest of the way, but the game changed dramatically with the unprecedented set of huge plays for BYU.

I don't believe it's fair to say that the second half would have turned out the same if Kansas State had gone into the half up 6-3.
