Our average gain per play was 5.0, KSU's was 5.1 - essentially even.
Take into account also that KSU never got into the end zone and we did 3 times on offense which, by definition, reduces the amount of yards gained on the scoring play (in most cases).
The rough eye test says we would have had 12 more yards, which gets us to almost 5.3 yards/play.
