BYU would have had 508 yards of offense if it had as many available as KSU &
got the same % of available yards (54%) as it did.
KSU got 367 yards which was 39% of available yards—941 available.
Had BYU gotten 54% of 941 yards it would have had 508.
To some extent it is easier to get a higher percentage when there are fewer available so it isn’t a straightforward comparison. But still, that helps quantify how BYU’s low yards total might be more fairly translated.
