Everything you said is true and doesn't contradict what I said! Evaluating the game isn't "ALL GOOD" or "ALL BAD!"

I'm not desperate to find a cloud in the silver lining of the BYU victory. Most weeks, I am an optimist by CB standards. I'm just pointing out that our offense has been inconsistent, and we didn't ever lead a full drive for a TD. I'd like to have seen that.

But the team was awesome. The defense played great. The play calls and execution on the short fields went amazing. Of course those weren't gift TDs! We earned them! I don't think I ever implied otherwise. All of that is true! Simply pointing out an area of concern is not a "doom and gloom" or "we ONLY won because of luck" take. It only means what it actually means: there were areas for improvement on full length field drives.

Sheesh. There is so much defensiveness by some (not all) on the board when pointing out that Kingston benefited from a lucky bounce (he did, but then he took that lucky bounce and did something incredible with it!), or that the offense wasn't perfect (but they did a LOT of things well!).

I *loved* that game on Saturday. That was awesome. They earned the win, they deserved the win. That doesn't mean there are zero concerns going into the next game.
