That was one of the most complementary games I have ever seen us play.
Each unit fed off each other during that 7 minute stretch and completely stole the momentum from KSU.

My grades:

Offense: B+
We never really put together a drive the length of the field, but we also never really had to. The only real knock here is consistency. Jake had a couple of missed throws, but also never put the ball in danger and had a few perfect throws as well. I suspect that's just who he is this season, but I'm much more optimistic about Retzlaff than I was at the beginning of the year. The run game showed improvement and Moa may be the truth, but we still had a few runs that went nowhere. The most important thing is we capitalized on every turnover and ran the ball well enough in the second half to put the game on ice.

Defense: A
We need to pay Jay Hill as much money as he wants after this season. The defensive turnaround he has engineered is incredible. We were disruptive and kept their run game just contained enough to keep them out of the endzone. KSU was averaging 7 yards a carry coming in so holding them to 5.3 yards per carry is a win, and it put more pressure on their young QB to make key plays in the air, which he couldn't do.

Special Teams: A+
Ferrin made all his kicks. Vander Haar showed some nice touch on punts to pin them deep and Kingston's punt return TD made up for his poor decision to try to field it in the first place. We'll probably get burned by him at some point this year, but that play was something else and was the perfect cap to the craziest 7 minutes of football I've seen us put together.
