For various reasons, I missed BYU vs. Air Force '85, Miami in '90, A&M in '96 and Utah 2001. On a mission during the Penn State game.
So I've missed some of the very, very best games and thus can't compare them to tonight.

OTOH, I've seen Detmer throw a 98-yard TD to Drage to turn the tide and blowout Utah, a large number of wins vs. ranked opponents across many years, and all the good ones from '21 and '22. I've stormed the field more times than I can remember.

This one is firmly in the discussion for best of the best.

Not sure what it'll take to top Miami. That's #1. This one goes right into the discussion for next best. "Best" is a very subjective term of course, but this one is unlike any other game I've attended. I repeated a couple times in the OP, it was incredibly fun.
