Seriously, is there no rational thinking here?
BYU was expected to finish 13th in the Big-12, K-State 2nd and ranked in the top 25.
Thus the headline from KSL is both rational and accurate and not a slight at BYU.
Utah was picked to finish 1st in the Big-12 and OSU 3rd, with in the top-25.
Thus the headline for Utah is also accurate and a good headline.
