BYU did poorly containing the SIU QB but did pretty good against Jennings and Svoboda. I believe the coaches said the SIU QB didn't show much on film that he was a big rushing threat, so they didn't prepare for that, as much.
I think I still have PTSD from previous defenses where we looked really good defensively for a couple of early games and then suddenly totally inept.
However, last year there are some good examples of that happening again (TCU, WV, ISU). I'm hoping that was more about Hill not having the right players for his scheme and not having his system fully in place yet.
