That was the first non-ironic (at least I didn't detect any irony) use of that
term in years. Based on how long they have been taking to try to get this project going, my guess is that was written years ago as a pitch, and not updated.
No one uses the term latinx any more except to make fun of the bigoted academics who coined it and tried to force it on society, failing miserably.
