smoker, I couldn't recommend this one any higher. I have the Masterbuilt 850. I've had it for three years and have done about 40-50 smokes on it. Perfectly consistent temperature every time, and incredible bark and flavor.
I use B&B lump charcoal and hickory wood chunks. I played around with all different flavors of wood, and hickory has been the most versatile for me across pork or beef.
For my briskets and pork shoulders, I put them on at 10pm and fall asleep and take them off at 6:30. The temp stays perfect all night. Never had an issue. And the bark is insane. I had a Pit Boss before this and it was fine, but the lump charcoal / wood chunk combo produces an amazing bark and superior flavor IMO.
It's basically just as easy as a Traeger set it and forget it. You just have to get the fire going at the beginning which takes about 15 minutes. I love it.
