1. Current BYU runners get to run with the pros (Conner Mantz, Clayton Young, Christian Allen, etc.) on occasion, which is cool.
2. The team only “practices” with each other a few times a week. A lot of running is recovery runs, which are slow and easy and don’t require a big group.
3. Because of the low-key nature of these recovery runs these guys can run with a variety of people aside from teammates: family members, guys from other schools, guys attempting to walk-on the team, friends, etc.
4. Many of the guys are running 7-9 times a week. This doesn’t even include lifting and cross-training.
