Here’s my guess
Utah and CSU were tied for 4th with 5-3 conf record.
Fresno was 0-1 vs Utah and CSU
Wyoming was 1-1
BYU was 1-1
So Fresno is out and then you look at record vs 5th place to break the tie
New Mexico and SDSU were tied for 5th at 4-4.
Wyoming was 1-1 vs New Mexico and SDSU
BYU was 2-0, so they win the tie breaker
Fresno was 0-1 vs Utah and CSU
Wyoming was 1-1
BYU was 1-1
So Fresno is out and then you look at record vs 5th place to break the tie
