Dan Patrick asked Steve how many of his yards came on designed QB runs. "None".
Steve replied that the NFL was different when he played (I get that this isn't some revelation no one would've gotten without Steve's insight), and that there weren't any designed QB runs when he played - they were all scrambles where he saw and opening and went for it.

I suspect this isn't necessarily 100% true - I'd be shocked if he didn't do one QB sneak, which is a designed QB run, during his entire career.

But it is still pretty impressive that the vast majority of those rushing yards Steve Young got were a result of broken plays and/or scrambling.
