I remember the feeling that we were on our way to a special season—issues with the D had reared their head a bit by then, but we may have, at a minimum, ended up in a high stakes showdown at Boise State that year (it could’ve been our Waterloo, but still…). IIRC, I’d watched our high school team go down in flames vs. a rival the same night Taysom was injured. Great evening.

The eventual resurgence under Stewart was fun until it ended with our coach burning 2 timeouts to ice the PAT.
