I have to wonder if the int had happened later in the game if we'd be looking at his performance differently?
When the int happened on the first drive, CB (myself included, even though I didn't post about it) went crazy.

After all the anxiety with the turnovers @SMU only to come out and have it happen on the very first drive, just pushed a lot of fans over the edge.

I had similar thoughts in 2020 when Wilson threw the first pick against Navy. I remember thinking, "here we go again". (Even though, as I recall, the replay showed the receiver was tripped which lead to the int). But we know how Wilson and that year turned out.

Of course, all the close calls didn't help either. But overall it was a solid performance, as the numbers show. I think if he has the same stats but the int comes in the 4th quarter I think fans would have been more likely to give him a pass.

I guess we'll get more of an idea what kind of progress he's making against an opportunistic defense like K-State
