One side is pretty mad and wants a lot more money and benefits.
The other side is deeply in debt, and looking at less says, problems at Starliner, court involvement and investigations, and bad economic times to try to borrow more money.

BOTH sides need huge concessions from the other side, and NEITHER are in a position to give those concessions.

So, it's a really tough negotiation....
