Also, I'm not even saying that I agree with it. I'm only saying that's apparently how A-Rod and the offensive staff (and probably their analytics group) are looking at it. So there is some sense to it.
IOW, looking at just 3rd down conversion percentage in isolation doesn't really tell the whole story. That much seems true to me.
