You don't want the OL to be able to push the DL out and around the QB when rushing so that the dude has open running lanes. Collapse the pocket, sure - but in a way that there's not an outlet for him. And that is a tough ask - because it means that the DL can't just push to the area of least resistance, they have to push while staying in their lane.
I think if they can maintain lane integrity while also sending a blitzer here and there, they can keep him uncomfortable. But they don't want to give up long runs.
In some ways - if you trust the offense to score some points - I'd rather have more of a rush early in the game so that he doesn't get comfortable in the pocket. I'd rather he feel rushed even when he isn't actually being rushed, so that he hurries some throws. But that will mean taking some risks as far as him getting out of the pocket an running.
