becoming franchise QBs (Burrow, Tua, Herbert, Love, Hurts), but the next three drafts probably won't have five franchise QBs selected in the first two rounds. So far there have only been two drafted in the first two rounds from 2021-2023.
2021:
Lawrence - Not always great, but he got a big second deal so we'll call him a franchise QB. That's one.
Wilson - Traded for a day three pick, now a backup. Not a franchise QB.
Lance - Traded for a day three pick, now a backup. Not a franchise QB.
Fields - Traded for a day three pick, kind of a starter. Not a franchise QB.
Jones - Traded for a day three pick, now a backup. Not a franchise QB.
Trask - Zero career starts. Not a franchise QB.
2022:
Pickett - Traded as part of a swap of day two and three picks, now a backup. Not a franchise QB.
2023:
Young - Already benched. Not a franchise QB.
Stroud - One of the better seasons by a rookie QB. He's a franchise QB. That's two.
Richardson - Really raw, might eventually get there, but he hasn't been great so far. Not (yet) a franchise QB.
Levis - He's been okay (not great) in eleven starts, and maybe he'll get there, but he's looking more like a miss than a franchise QB so far.
So basically 2/11, with a TBD on Richardson (and kind of Levis) and a bunch of other guys that could (but probably won't) figure things out. It's really hard to find a good QB, and the recent classes have been especially rough. And off the top of my head Purdy is the only franchise QB drafted after round two in that span, so the hit rate is even worse after round two (which should be expected).
