Fred has been the best linebacker in football over the last 5 years and is creeping up the list of best Linebackers in NFL history. He's been on the short list of the best defensive players in the NFL for the better part of 3 years. And he is the leader of the best defense in the NFL over the last half decade. He was so dynamic during his first two seasons under Bronco at BYU and then Tuiaki relegated him to a glorified Nickel in his last two years at BYU. He was absolutely dominant in that role as teams basically avoided throwing the ball anywhere near him. But unlike Corners, Linebackers who aren't making plays consistently are basically ignored for honors and awards.
