Yes it is an EAT line stunt (end first to the inside gap, followed by the tackle looping to the outside). Etienne has to punch/stun the End other wise the guard is going to get earholed - because he can't really see him coming in because he's already engaged. This also will muck up their exchange on the twist giving Etienne time to recover and pick up the outside twist.
