…you can accept that he’s the guy the coaches want but still not trust him. Yes, we’re 3-0 but when you factor in that our SOS so far is ranked 123rd out of 130 teams that shouldn’t be anything to get excited about.
He’s been pretty good at some things and very concerning at others and he’s done this in a relatively clean pocket (BYU is ranked #22 in sack% given up) while playing an FCS school, a school that lost to an FCS school and a mediocre SMU team.
We’re seeing enough warning signs here to know that we’re in for a rough ride when the real part of our schedule begins next week. We’re still struggling to run the ball and that adds only more pressure on Jake (which he doesn’t handle well just based off of the FCS part of the schedule).
