For some who have set their teeth in the anti-JR camp (or the I'm-not-convinced camp / whatever you want to call it) it seems it will always be the better competition, the next game, the next few games, a string of wins, the conference championship, or the playoff wins, before JR is acknowledged as a QB to be admired and to cheer on for plays like the bomb to Roberts, or the bullet to Lassiter, after evading the rush like a surgeon.

It's almost like some are just waiting for him to fail, so that their prophecy comes true, when in reality, every single QB and every single team eventually fails every year, except for the last one standing.

The pursuit of excellence, or even perfection, is of course the goal, unless it destroys the fun of the journey.
