I think this year's team is quite a bit better than last year's team. Most notably, of course, the defense is greatly improved. Last year they had some stinkers. I'm sure that will still be the case this year in Big XII play but the improvement has been better than I anticipated.

BYU's weakness this year will still be RB depth and QB issues. However BYU will give K-State a good game and perhaps even win. I would be shocked if BYU lost by double-digits unless they have a bunch of turnovers.

Fans tend to underestimate how hard it is to win early road games. Sure Wyoming is terrible this year but considering the questionable officiating BYU basically destroyed the Cowboys. And beating SMU and holding their offense to 15 points isn't nothing.

Fans also tend to overlook the fact that BYU wasn't going to have its most aggressive game plan against a bad Wyoming team.

The biggest issues will be 3rd down offense and the passing game. WTS, I have BYU beating K-State 27-24.

I still think BYU will struggle down the stretch but beat K-State and they could get to 7-8 wins this season. They are a much tougher out this year than last.
