They did. And some of Zach's INTs lost us games in 2019. And Jaren's INT vs ASU
Was one of the worst BYU fans has ever seen and if it hadn't turned into TA's miraculous Thor moment it PROBABLY would have cost us that game - and Beck lost a couple of games w INTs in 2004...
Even our best QBs have gone through development stretches where they've made awful throws that have cost us.
The PRIMARY thing that concerns me w Jake where I'd say the jury is still out is his fumbling as that is often something that becomes chronic and holds back some QBs in the long term.
If he gets that under control I think he's going to a Feterik caliber QB. Not in BYU's pantheon, but credible.

Is the reason we have become so INT averse because we have had such a poor defense that we couldn't recover from it?

INTs literally lost us games last season. It's not necessarily the INTs themselves. It's the manner and timing.

I've watched every game. I never said he didn't improve. I am still very worried about how he'll do against better Ds.
