I hate to say this but...
The difference is Rising. I agree with you that they're pretty similar teams across the board. But Utah has an experienced quarterback seems to make pretty good. Jake is inconsistent.
The other question though is how much depth does BYU have. I think it's improved, but I'm not sure BYU is as deep as Utah is.
