Some takeaways from the game last night
1. Pokaiaua Haunga looks very talented at RB — excited to see what he can do this year and in the future! He averaged 7 yards per carry. Now obviously a lot of that came late in the game when the outcome was no longer in doubt, but the kid just looks smooth and decisive. Sione Moa and Miles Davis averaged 2.8 and 1.9 ypc in comparison.

2. Chase Roberts was a beast — 6 receptions for 129 yards! He was a man amongst boys out there. He need to be targeted ~8 times per game, IMO.

3. Retzlaff had a pretty good day — 61% completion percentage, 1 INT to 3 TDs and NO FUMBLES. But there were a couple balls that could have been picked off with a more talented defense. He had some passes that were stunning and then some that were head-scratchingly off target. While there's room for real concern in the B12 slate against better teams, he clearly is the guy right now and also showed he can move the chains with his feet if the D is going to leave it available (6 for 62 yards). Next week will be a real test.

4. The D continues to impress. Another dominant performance. We can be competitive in every game if they continue to play like this. I thought Damuni stood out at the end of the game, which was cool to see. He's so athletic--if he's starting to get things figured out, that would be awesome. Also great to see so many players get some experience--will really help our depth development.

5. Special Teams was much better this game. Parker Kingston's decision to let the ball bounce when we had 30 seconds left in the half was a little weird. But otherwise it was nice to see him catch the ball consistently this game and avoid trying to do too much this game. And Keelan Marion! That was amazing--so fun to watch a KO return for a TD!! Will Ferrin looks great--nice to have a FG machine in our back pocket. Other than Rehkow's shank (yikes) the punting was fine — Vander Haar averaged 45 yards per punt.

6. It was nice to see the TE get targeted more heavily. Unfortunately, quite a few contested passes that Keanu Hill couldn't quite reel in. Speaking of Hill, that blow to his head was vicious. Hope he's okay.

7. It was great to see the ball get spread around — 6 receivers with 2 or more catches.
