I'm not educated enough to know all of the particulars of the Jewish community in the US — I just notice
That relatively few play athletics at a high level. I tend to think that's more a function of the things that community prioritizes than it is a function of them being bad athletes.
If you're devout, the predominance of Saturday games is a big barrier.
