Bronco was outshining Crowton with his dominant defense so much so that he took over the head coaching job. Not saying it's the exact same dynamic here, but there is a similarity with a sort of inept offense and a very effective defense. And a few years prior it was the opposite until a new DC took over and the same offensive coach stopped being effective.
