I honestly get this joke, but coal mining is a respectable, difficult, and necessary job. My father was a coal miner in the 80s, and was killed in a coal mining accident due to negligence from a an engineer who failed to do his job right. My dad was a brilliant guy, an artist, state champion wrestler, amateur body builder, all around salt of the earth dude. Unfortunately there just wasn’t a lot of opportunity for college in a small town where he grew up at the time. He served our country, then afterwards took a dangerous but high paying job (coal mining) to put himself through school and support his little family. He died one evening with 12 other men several hundred feet down working in a dirty coal mine; but he was an intelligent, honorable, and faithful husband and father. Maybe just choose “working fast food” or similar next time. I do get the burn and I with you but hate the elitism.
