If he has a great game against Wyoming, so 275 yards passing 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, will people be willing to keep some hope on him or will they say "its just Wyoming" and still be pining for GBo? I am not sold on GBo being any better. I would guess if the QB race was closer in fall camp, they would be more willing to put GBo in. I just don't see it happening unless JR continues on the path of high turnovers and inefficient passing. If he is pretty bad the first few games of conference play, I could see them making a switch, but I don't think the staff is ready to give up on him yet.
