Oh...you are missing the payoff. Season 2 is when it really starts to hit.
I started in twice and couldn't get past episode 3 or 4. Then my wife finished and forced me to push through. It gets soooo much better.
But really you haven't seen Ted Lasso? Shrinking is also great.
