My hard-learned tip: If you end up replacing the power steering pump, go with
an OEM pump. I bought a pump from rockauto.com and had my mechanic install it. It didn't solve the problem. My mechanic then told me that power steering pumps are the part with the highest failure rate. (Gee, why didn't you tell me that up front?) So I bought an OEM pump and paid him for another installation. Problem solved.
