My brother and I talked at the funeral about skipping the game because we couldn’t handle watching BYU lose to Utah for the tenth straight game the same day as burying dad.

A couple hours before the game he called and said we should go, to get our minds off the funeral if for no other reason. So we went, and the rest was history.

Had a lot of Ute fan friends texting me that night and the next day telling me that if they had to lose they were glad it was on that day.
