Yes, Wyoming has looked pretty terrible this season through two games. Also, our defense looks to be tremendously improved, which should help keep us in a lot of games this year.

But our offense, as has been discussed here ad nauseam this week, looks unimpressive. We have our top two running backs out this week. We are playing a big home game against Kansas State next week. Jake Retzlaff, in his interview in the radio post-game show, said something to the effect that Laramie is a horrible place and he looks forward to getting in there, getting the win, and then getting out of there. It's a mildly humorous comment, but I hope it is not indicative of the team not taking the game seriously enough. Historically, Kalani's teams tend to play up or down to the level of their competition. Playing in Laramie is always a unique challenge.

BYU should win this game handily. But if we don't take the Cowboys seriously, or if we are caught looking ahead to next week's matchup, I feel that we could be in for an unpleasant surprise. I'm not predicting it, but it is a feeling I have been having this week.
