Passing, PI, and Arod
Over the years I’ve noticed that the amount of contact a DB is allowed to make has changed dramatically, and I wonder if this is why you see so much less west-coast, air-raid, or other pass-happy offenses out there.

The segments on AFR and Coordinators corner really make it clear how much MORE is going on with play scheme just to make a few yards sometimes.

Seems like this places a heavy burden on the athletes having to learn and master the fine points of the cerebral game. (Ironic for a sport where your primary activity culminates in wrestling someone else to the ground, but anyway.)

But this also makes me think it unlikely that a passing innovation could level the playing field again and give teams with mostly 3 star recruits a shot at a national title.
