An inexcusable tenet of recent Arod--failing to target playmakers
Look at Dallin Holker. His widely-rumored blowup sealed his fate. His behavior wasn't good and may have been abhorrent, but Holker wasn't entirely wrong to be frustrated with Arod. Roderick himself had praised Holker's unguardability in practice, then proceeded not to target him much, even in games like Oregon where we desperately needed an offensive spark. Holker bailed and demonstrated exactly what we'd been missing en route to his All-American season.

Kalani called out the absurdity of losing a hard fought battle to a team like Notre Dame where our best player (and a generational talent), Puka Nacua, wasn't targeted at all. Then we did everything we could, including lining him up at RB, to get him touches, and famously put the game in his hands (successfully) vs. Boise State to end the 4-game skid that started with the Irish.

I thought Arod may have learned his lesson from all that. I'm not sure now.

The WR's are the strength of the O. I'm not saying abandon the run, but we need our playmakers to have enough opportunities to make plays and win games for us.
