My wife has a job as an aide at our kids school. It doesn’t quite make 50k, but she has summers off, and the schedule matches our kids perfectly. She could potentially do something over the summer to make a bit more money. Some schools have after school or before school programs that could allow her to earn extra money as well.

My wife has a degree but it isn’t a requirement.

It’s great for her to have off of work when the kids do and she gets a lot of satisfaction from her job. It’s been a great fit for our family, and I would think even better as a single mom.
