For some reason, we are not pulling in the recruit quality at QB that BYU is used to, and OL recruiting has also been a bit soft. Even when we've had good enough talent on the O line, ever since Grimes & his disciples (Pugh/Mateos) left, we have struggled to execute blocking schemes and assignments.

We got talent eval wrong on Jacob Conover (but then again, I guess Alabama would have too). We wiffed on Isaac Wilson (may be a blessing in disguise). We have shopped from the discount rack for Retzlaff, Slovis and Bohannon. Don't know if that was because we had to, because we wiffed on everyone else, or because we have a problem judging talent. Either way, doesn't look good.
