Sure there might be some things he's still picking up a bit but I would think he knows enough to be playable more than one snap.

He leaves on a mission in January so I would think you either play him a fair amount and see what you've got for when he comes back from his mission or redshirt him (which may be what's happening but one snap seems a waste of a game). Bringing him into things slowly seems a waste when he'll be gone for two years.
