Love the back and forth...
I, for one, love the "homers" and "nitpickers" on CB. Everyone who loves the Cougs has a place in my book, even if all of us are a bit salty and stupid from time to time. However, I do agree that a certain amount of class and decorum are appropriate, online and in person. Ad hominem attacks and coarse, mean-spirited banter on CB posters and their related posts is unnecessary and counter productive. For those who missed UnoDoctor's post regarding the "F-you Baylor" fan eruption at Rice-Eccles on Saturday, that is the very definition of No Class and Zero Decorum. Let's not imitate trashy, filthy fans on CB or in "real life."

Couple quick observations about the state of our football program:

1. Head Coach: I don't believe Kalani Sitake is the right man for the job. Love the man but have little confidence in him as head coach. The clock is ticking for sure. 6-6 this year and bowl eligible means he gets one more year. 7-5 means he gets to complete his contract (2027). TH will not renew and we'll need to ante up now to keep Jay Hill as our "Scalleywag" (coach in waiting). Jay Hill is definitely the man.
2. Jake Retzlaff: 9 career turnovers in 5 P5 starts. Nothing else needs to be said. Despite A-Rod's assurances, Jake is NOT the man.
3. LJ is fragile. Time to ride Miles Davis like a rented donkey. He, Enoch, and Ropati will have to carry the load. Not sure if Haunga is available. If so, it may be time to pull the redshirt and work him in.
4. Defense is the most exciting group of athletes I've seen on the field at one time since I started attending BYU games in "the knothole." (1969). Toughness and athleticism in the trenches, excellent cover performance from the corners/safeties and absolutely ridiculous linebacker play! Glasker a "Sam" linebacker at 6'5" and 235?? Are you kidding me?
5. A-Rod: There is a reason that offensive coordinators don't have long tenures with one team in college football. A-Rod's offense is stagnant, predictable, and boring. Sincere thanks for your efforts but it's time for a change.
6. Finally. Can't say enough good about how the BOT is adjusting to the changing landscape of college sports. I can assure you that past administrations did not embrace BYU sports as heartily. Hat's off to President Oaks, President Holland, President Reese and his team, Tom Holmoe and his staff, and all who have embraced the new opportunities ahead. Lastly, a special thank you to those supporters with deep pockets who are making it possible for BYU to compete at the highest levels. Sincerely grateful for your generosity and commitment to BYU.

Go Cougs!!!
