I totally get why they went with Jennings in the moment. Stone was abysmal. But after watching the tape, Jennings was not really good.

I think everyone is overselling our defensive performance.

Drive 1 - SMU had a touchdown play on drive 1 that any competent passer could have hit. It was a great play schematically and I could see why they put up 50+ against lesser opponents.

Drive 2 - again, they schemed a TD. A good delivery results in a TD. Jennings was not good in the pass game.


So, I'm interested to see if they go back to Stone. Stone's issue was the protection was discombobulated.
